What special access changes can be made to accommodate my SEN child in the 11 plus?

There are quite a few options that can be arranged should both you and the exam administrator agree. Some of these include:

 Enlarged question booklets

 A scribe (usually the child’s LSA if they have one)

 A reader/prompter to read all instructions (comprehension passages must be read by your child)

 Coloured overlays if required by your child when reading

 One or two “thinking breaks” if your child usually requires this in lessons

 Extra Time

 Solo testing away from peers

Obviously this is by no means an exhaustive list and if you feel there is another way your child can be assisted bring that up as soon as possible.
