What subjects can my child take in GCSEs if I am homeschooling?

Most schools in the UK allow children to take up to nine subjects. However, as a homeschooling parent your child can take as many GCSE subjects as you wish provided you’ve got the study materials for it. It is important not to overload your child. Most courses and jobs you might want your child to apply for in the future require you to have grades between 9 and 4 in a minimum of five subjects. Maths, English and Science (you can do this as one whole subject or three individual sciences) are the core subjects everyone must take at GCSE in England.
